Its other half is Schwarze (Black) Lütschine. Villagers on the Weisse Lütschine river called those on the Schwarze Lütschine 'so dirty it turned the river black,' while those on the Schwarze Lütschine claimed the others 'never washed, so their tributary stayed perfectly white'
